All said and done

With the same name than Simone de Beauvoir’s last volume of her autobiography, “All said and done” is an on-going series of self portraits that serves me as the visual vehicle of my current state as the woman I am.

I’m very far away from the future projections that I had on myself when I was a kid. Maybe also very far away from the projections that anybody could have had on me. I think I’m the first woman in my family to live in these standards. Being in my late thirties, single, without a permanent home and in a constant fight for earning my food makes me feel a misfit ... or a freer person?.
